{Survivng the Wild}

This special hands-on literacy program will focus on basic survival skills, techniques and strategies for successful camping and backpacking. Middle school science teacher, Erin Farmer, will share her vast knowledge of backpacking and camping skills. She has been backpacking and camping for over 20 years, enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail and has a myriad of camping, backpacking, canoeing and biking experiences in various National Parks. An additional feature of the program will highlight popular books within this genre. A "Book Talk" introducing an exciting novel related to the topic will allow participants to enjoy the mystery and mystique of the wilderness. A" Book Look" will engage participants as they examine many books related to the evening’s topic.

Please pre-register by calling 626-2255 or emailing register@lititzlibrary.org.
